Matrichhaya Internation Welfare Trust HISTORY

TO CATALYZE SOCIO-ECONOMIC CHANGE IN INDIA THROUGH THE EDUCATION OF UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN.

Matrichhaya Internation Welfare Trust is a secular organization dedicated to change in India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change. In keeping with this focus, our volunteers are involved with and support projects that are secular and have an education-related component to them. The objectives of this group are:

Who we are

Matrichhaya International Welfare Trust is a UP-based registered non-profit organization where like-hearted individuals come together and become agents of change. Our key areas of focus are what we believe to be the pillars of a fulfilling life: health and education.
In July 2019, the Foundation began its first community program by delivering health awareness sessions in Uttar Pradesh. Then it started a women's self-help group with the aim to encourage them to save up for medical purposes.
A turning point occurred in Aug 2019, when, while supporting a little girl who had been living on the pavement of Slum Area with her blind parents, Matrichhaya Internation Welfare Trust felt the urge to get engaged in providing quality education to vulnerable children from lower socio-economic backgrounds, thus developing the Happy Kids Program.

Our guiding philosophy

The Foundation achieves this by providing access to a safe, caring and motivating environment as well as to high-quality education as prospecting by the residential school format. Further, the Foundation offers regular counseling support, keeps in touch with the children during summer vacations and interacts with parents/guardians and school authorities.

Raising up children

Matrichhaya Internation Welfare Trust believes in community empowerment as opposed to a direct charity model.
Education is not just a recognized fundamental right: it is a powerful force to make a breakthrough from the cycle of poverty and to bring about change in society.
However, it doesn't simply imply being enrolled in a school but, to be effective and fully functional, it requires a caring, nurturing, safe and healthy social and physical environment.
We work with a few students at a time. We cannot change the world at one go, but it is our sincere belief that if we can help a few to change their world, it would make for an inspiring beginning.
